Chelsea
goalkeeper Peter Cech has said he thinks Manchester City are their main
rivals for the Premier League - despite Liverpool's hot form
catapulting them top of the division.
The
Blues sit second and are just two points off the top but have lost
ground after being defeated by strugglers Crystal Palace and Aston Villa
recently.
City
are four points off Liverpool but have two games in hand, though one of
those is a visit to Anfield where the Reds have been sensational.
Brendan
Rodgers' side have thrown themselves into the reckoning after an
incredible run of eight successive victories, though they are still
regarded as outsiders by most.
And
Cech still sees City as Chelsea's main challengers. "They keep the core
that won the Premier League in 2012 and also have added some new
players, so I think they are the team to beat," he told Spanish website Grada360.
Liverpool
have since beaten Cardiff, Sunderland and Tottenham in the last week as
they continue their unlikely climb toward the Premier League crown.
